Where can I get a violin strung?.. It's a gift!?
I sponsored a few underprivileged kids for the holidays and one of them asked for a violin for Christmas (which I thought that was awesome that he wanted that). I bought one for him off the internet and I just got it today. It's great! Solid wood, came with a nice case and a bow... But there are no strings!! Just plastic placeholders!
So I have 3 days to find some strings and get this thing strung! Where can I have this done? What type of place? Do people do this or do I buy the strings and have to do it myself? I live in NYC so I'm sure there is somewhere that I could go. Anyone know?

My best guess would be a local music store, or a violin store, one that can get the violin all set-up for you.
