Christmas Drawings?
I want to make some Christmas placemats for my mom for Xmas. I'm going to make a drawing on a piece of paper, and laminate them all. What scenes can I use for them? I was thinking of a normal one, Christmas tree, presents underneath, a chair, a table with hot chocolate and cookies, and a fireplace with stockings. How does that sound?
That sounds like a lovely idea. If you are good at drawing or sketching, you could even draw a picture of your own family and laminate it. You could make matching coasters if you wanted. (I suppose, with lamination, they'd have to be for cold/cool drinks. Still, it would be nice.)
Other scenes you could draw would depend on how your mother regards Christmas. If she's celebrates in honor of Jesus' birth, you could draw some type of Nativity scene.
You could also draw a picture of the outside of a house at night, perhaps with snow all around and a snowman in the yard, and have Santa and his reindeer flying over the house.
You could, perhaps, draw a scene with people going around caroling.
I have another suggestion: go to http://www.webshots.com/ and type in "Christmas graphics" or "Christmas pictures" or "winter wonderland" - and other things like that - and see what comes up. They have an awesome variety of pictures and graphics, and this may give you further inspiration (if you need it).
It is a great idea, and I'm sure your mother will love and appreciate anything you make! (I know I would.)
