what is your favorite Christmas cookie cutter shape?
I love making the sugar cookie cut-outs... I inherited my grandmother's copper cookie cutters, they are soooo old and cool... my grandmother was born in the 1800s, I'm not sure how old they are but my mother ended up with them in the 1950s and barely used them because she almost never bakes; I inherited them when I was a teen in the 80s, and one of my kids wants to be a chef so he will probably inherit them from me some day.
So I just pulled mine out to clean thhem and really love them, and my favorite one is this perfect holly shaped leaf. I love decorating them with green icing and red cinnamon candy "berries"
Do you have a favorite cookie cutter shape that just puts a little button on your holiday?
Christmas tree and square shapes! This is because you can ice the christmas tree green with lots of colourful icing dots for baubles. As for the squares, you can ice them completely and add a ribbon made from icing too. I know it sounds commercial, but presents get people really excited for Christmas so that is why these cookies are popular.
