What "style" are your Christmas decorations?
Mine is very traditional even though my house is modern....I have a lot of antique and vintage ornaments and have greenery (holly and ivy) draped everywhere....my friend has a dark blue Christmas tree with only silver ornaments on it..and that's it..she likes minimal...what about you? What do you have and why? Is there a special ornament that you love?
I use only clear lights, as my husband prefers them and i don't mind either way. Our 6 ft tree in our living room is decorated with a Jack Frost theme - silver and ice blue. It looks lovely with all the lights and we have 3 snowman decorations we hang on it to represent our 3 daughter who are 11,6 and 21 months. In our hallway we have a silver tinsel 4 ft tree and we put red decorations and tinsel on this one with clear lights, it may not be to everyone's taste but we like it and think it looks lovely.
